The license period for licenses issued pursuant to this section shall be from July 1st of each year through June 30th of the following year. Licenses are not transferable from one person or place to another. Those licenses initially issued during the period beginning on April 1 and ending on June 30 expire on June 30 of the following year. [Code § 16.05-6.]
